Beamsville Smiles Family Dentistry is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about our practice, our services, and the care we provide — regardless of ability or the technology used to access the web.

1. Our Accessibility Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This website has been developed with accessibility in mind, and we are working toward full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance.

• Focus indicators — visible focus styles are present on all interactive elements for keyboard users
• Language declaration — the page language is declared in the HTML to assist screen readers
• Reduced-motion support — page animations are automatically disabled for users who have enabled the "reduce motion" preference in their operating system
• Descriptive link text — links are written to be meaningful out of context, without relying on generic text like "click here"

3. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Known limitations include:

• PDF documents — patient forms available for download may not be fully optimised for screen readers. If you require an accessible version of any form, please contact us and we will provide an accessible alternative.
• Third-party content — embedded content from third-party providers (such as maps) may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We have no direct control over third-party code.
• Older content — some legacy content may not yet have been updated to meet current standards. We are working to address this on an ongoing basis.

4. Assistive Technology Compatibility

This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
